Hero

When I think of the word "Hero" my first thought is to those who defend our country and our freedom.  With Veteran's Day approaching we can thank our Hero's for their service.

I am entering this card in the challenge  at Addicted to CAS (clean and simple).  This is an older stamp from Stampin' Up. Probably one of the first ones that I purchased.  I embossed the soldier and the stars with white embossing powder and layered them on a white card base.  I like the look and hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Birthday

I had a little bit of time before an appointment for a yearly check-up at my cardiologist so decided to do today's sketch on the  Mojo Monday Blog.  I have never done a tall and skinny card so this was a new one for me.  I had a vintage picture that I got from Graphics Fairy with a round image on it so thought it would be perfect to use for this card.

Dad and Mom's Anniversary

I made this card for my dad and mom's anniversary.  They both love Hollyhocks so I thought this card would be perfect for them.  I fussy cut the hollyhock from Graphic 45's Home Sweet Home Collection.  I used Sizzix On the Fence die for uhhh the fence!  On the inside I used Spellbinders Card Creator 7 die.  I thought it turned out nice and they liked it.

Flowers Blooming In My Craft Room

With all the beautiful flowers blooming in my perennial garden I couldn't help but think how pretty they would be on a card.  Ok, so maybe I got a little carried away but who can resist a bright pretty bloom for any occasion!  Two of them are all ready in the mail to friends!

Snowmen at the Beach

A customer requested  summer scene cards with snowmen in it.  My first thought was the beach!  What snowman wouldn't want to warm up at the beach on a cold winters day! I gave them some sand to play in and a wave to splash in.  Some sea shells and starfish to finish off the beach theme.   I thought they turned out pretty cute and my customer loved them!

Thoughts and Prayers

I wanted to try some different cards with my newly purchased Spellbinders Card Creator Die .  It really dresses up a card and works wonderfully in my Cuttlebug!  I loved the combination of the black cardstock with the Coastal Cabana paper from Stampin' Up.  I hope you like it.  I'm entering this card in the Mojo400 Challenge .

Watercolor Pencil

I purchased these stamps a couple years ago from Flower Soft.  I used Aquarelle Creative Mark watercolor pencils to color them.  My grandson and grandaughter both have birthdays this month so I thought these would be perfect for them!  I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Floral Ovals and layered over Cuttlebug embossed cardstock.
