Christmas 2013

I just love the Graphic 45 "Twelve Days of Christmas" paper so I had some fun making an assortment of Christmas cards.

I'm not sure what brand this paper is but I thought it was so pretty.  I fastened it to a CD and added cut out holly leaves from the Graphic 45 paper and added ribbon.
Hope you like them!

Easter Cards

This card was made using the beautiful Graphic 45 Secret Garden Papers.  I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die to make my roses and added some dried lavender from my herb garden.

I used my cuddlebug to make the flowers on the bottom of this card and the scrolls on the top.  The orange roses are from I Am Roses and the white mini roses are from Joann Fabrics.

Easter Cards

Musical Thank You's

I made some thank you notes for my mom with a cute stamp from Stampin' Up and used a music stamp to stamp on my flowers cut from my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die.  I made a variety of different colors for her.

The Lord Is My Strength

Here is my card for this weeks sketch from  I love these colors.  I had some paper left from Stampin Up from several years ago and added a bit of trim from my mom's ribbon stash. I hope you like it.

For My Friend

I made this card for a dear friend who has to have major surgery this week.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Here is my card for the Sketch Frenzy Friday.  I'm ready for Spring so wanted to make a bright cheery card.

Our Creative Corner theme was  "Party like it's Mardi Gras" challenge and this is what I made.  I  based my card on the colors from the inspiration photo.

Valentine Cards

This card is for my DH.  Love you honey! I found this free vintage image doing a search for vintage valentines.  I cleared my history before I remembered to save the website.  If I can find it I will post it.
I used I Am Roses in the corner.

I made this card for my dad.  He has been thru a lot in his life and I know his strength is in the Lord.
Love you dad.
I won "The Lord is my strength" stamp from Emily Giovanni's website!
Thank you Emily, I love it. I made the rose from paper I bought at the Scrapbook Outlet. I used some pages torn from a book to make a mini Bible.

This card is for my son Josh.  He is a very talented musician.  He plays the piano and the cello. I cut the hearts out of corrugated cardboard and then painted them with grey gesso. The paper is also from The Scrapbook Outlet. (His favorite colors are black and gray.) I had some music note stickers I put on top of the hearts. Love you Josh!

This card is for my mom.  The background paper and the roses are made from paper from  My mom teaches music so I made a mini book of Love Songs. I added a heart paper dolie and some beads. My mom's been thru lots of tough times too and is still standing strong with God's help. Love you mom!

This card is for my sweet little grandaughter Mikayla.  Love you Mi! I used my cuttlebug for all the embossing.

This is for my handsome grandson Thomas.  He just loves our love bird so I thought I would send him greetings from our bird Mango. Love you Thomas.

This is for my daughter Leah.  Since cupid has hit (lol) I thought I'd better add that to her card.  The base is one of my hubbies time cards which I crinkled and distressed.  The playing card was from a valentine kit I had in my stash. The flowers are from paper grocery bags.  I cut them out and dyed with a stampin up ink pad.  The bird is also from stampin up.  Love you Leah.

This is for my daughter Rachel.  I used the time card for the base and paper bag flowers here too.
Love you Rach!

Mixed Media Canvas

Here are my first attempts at a mixed media canvas.  I did one for my mom and one for my mother-in-law with their favorite songs on it.

This is my mom's.  She teaches piano lessons. So I added some things from her piano schedule book.
This one I did for myself.

Our Creative Corner had a challenge of white with a decorative edge.  Since my daughter is getting married this year I thought I would start practicing on wedding cards.
